Atlas Copco extends its pneumatic TEX range with four new models

Atlas Copco has been leading in pneumatic hammers and breakers for many decades, and is now strengthening this position even further by introducing four new models.

The TEX 07PE is a well-balanced hammer that offers good vibro-reduction, good impact power and good chisel control at a relatively low weight. “Good vibro-reduction can be difficult to achieve in small tools as the weight of the tool may go up too much, it may become too bulky, too long or it may have too little impact power. But we have been very successful in combining these factors when designing the TEX 07PE, says Jan Ohlson, product line manager at Atlas Copco Construction Tools AB in Sweden. Beside the D-handle, there is an option to get a vibro-reduced front side handle, which gives even better control of the tool.

The TEX 10 pick hammer is a light, compact, all-round pick hammer with a long piston stroke that runs on a relatively low frequency making it possible to work efficiently and quickly in concrete, hard brick and other hard materials. The slim design allows you to get in really close to walls and work where space is tight.

Two medium sized general-purpose breakers have also been added to the range – TEX 20 and TEX 21. They have a longer piston stroke than other Atlas Copco models in the neighbouring weight classes, making them very well suited for working in hard materials. The TEX 20 has standard handles and the TEX 21 has vibration-dampening handles.

With effective silencers, all these models meet the limits set by the European Noise Emission Directive (NED) for 2006. To meet different market demands, they are available in different versions such as with a hexagonal or a round shank, and with a kick-latch or cap tool retainer. “These new models will contribute positively to the wide product offering Atlas Copco has in this product area.” Jan Ohlson summarizes.
